  • Hurry up and wait!!!

I am so excited for the 6th to come. Baby Hannah is due that day. I have so much to get done for school before then. I want her to come now but then I don't. So I feel like I am saying to her hurry up and wait. I have to get finals done by the 5th then she can come without anything left for me to do during break. Of course she can come when ever she wants but this would be wonderful if she waited until the 6th. Kyle just turned 2 in October and I can't believe how smart he is. He has such a big vocab. He is talking so much it is hard to remember that he is only 2. He is also very tall and strong for his age so he just seems older. I expect so much out of him sometimes that maybe he can't quite achieve it all. He usually lets me know when I am doing this to him. He is so good at communicating to me. He has been the most amazing blessing for these last 2 years that I am not soooo excited to have another one. I know it is because Kyle was and is such a wonderful baby that I am looking forward to Hannah coming. I am going to have to be careful that I don't put expectation on Hannah based on Kyle's amazing behavior. He is potty training right now and doing a great job. I wasn't going to push the matter and just wait until Hannah was like 5 or 6 months before trying to potty train Kyle. He started asking 2 weeks before his birthday if he could go potty on the potty. I pushed it off for a little while saying that he could try when he was 2. I was fully expecting him to forget about it and move on. On his birthday he asked again and I said yeah Kyle now your 2 you can go potty on the potty. He was so excited. He has been pee pee trained since day one of training. Poo poo training is going a little slower but we are making strides every week. He has gone on the potty for a couple weeks now but not consistently. He is just doing great. I am so proud of him. I know that he is going to be a great big brother. He loves Hannah already. Tonight he was saying, "My baby" and pointing to Hannah. It was soooo cute.
We are so blessed and excited to meet our new little baby Hannah.
May God bless all of you for this Christmas season,

  • Wow time flies!!!!

So Kyle is almost 2 and we are so excited to be expecting another baby. Hannah should be arriving around the second week of December. Classes are going wonderfully and my school has been very helpful and understanding about my "condition." We are so happy with were life is taking us. Kyle is getting so big every day I am just amazed that he is no longer my little baby, he is now my big boy and he is talking and thinking on his own. He is starting to show wonderful signs of love for God. He loves to read his bible and pray already. What I would have given to have started with a love like that for God at such a young age.
Ryan is working and paying my way through school. Hopefully after May of 09 he well be able to start night school and we will be done here in Dallas shortly after. All in all life is good and we are working to run the race to win the prize that Christ has called us heavenward. Thank you to all of you who actually look at our site. We apologize for the time laps in post. Hope you enjoy. I will post more pictures later. :)

  • Life goes on and on...

Life is busy and I am ready to catch my breath. This week is midterms and I am not even really ready. I have studied a little and I don't think I am going to do to bad. The test all sound pretty easy except for the Life & Teachings of Christ midterm. That one sounds pretty challenging. Next week my mother and sister are visiting and when they leave my best friend in the world is coming to see me. I am sooooo excited to see them all. I have been feeling very family sick. Not really home sick because it isn't the building but the relationships.

Ryan is working towards getting his application finished for night school. We are so excited to both have class and to be talking about our classes and what we are learning. God as been moving in our lives to help mold and shape us into our calling.

Kyle is feeling a lot better lately. His teachers are telling me he is doing very well. He enjoys climbing on the table and playing with balls. Kyle has been saying a lot of new words. a few nights ago Kyle said his own name. His speech has been getting more defined. He imitates sounds like 1, 2, 3's and A, B, Cs. He has been doing very well with sign language. He may be going into his terrible two stage but we are trying to stop it before it happens.

Life all and all is great and God is doing so much in our world. We are going to visit my family at the end of June through July 5. I am so excited with what God is allowing me to do.

God Bless to all of you who haven't given up on me updating this site.

  • Happy New Year to all of my beautiful friends and family.

I miss all of you so much.  Starting the new year without you makes me think of all the memories that we had.  I am so blessed to be going to CFNI this semester.  I have amazing classes taught by amazing teachers. I am currently taking New Testament Survey taught by Dr. Seif he is a good teacher and a funny man.  The class its self is challenging.  Also, I am taking a class called life and teachings of Christ.  The book is by CFNI founder Gordan Lindsey.  The class is being taught by a CFNI graduate and dean of deans Joe Tempte.  I am so excited about this semester.  The other two classes on my schedule are Personal Discipleship which who couldn't use some good teaching on Discipleship.  Also, Doctrine of Christianity with Scott Camp this teacher is the most profound teacher I have experienced in all of my college experiences put together.  He has is Master of divinity and is just very Christ like and intelligent.  I am so blessed to have such great teachers and great subject matter.

On the home front Kyle is starting pre-pre-school.  I say this because it is not just daycare.  He is going to be learning from a very young age the love that His Lord has for him.  I am so excited about this because I know how important these first years are and what better lessons to learn then this.  Kyle has been walking for a few months now which is a deciding factor of which they receive the children into the pre-school.  He says a lot of different words.  Mama, Dadda, bye bye, peas (please), day day (Thank You), but his favorite word is BALL.  He absolutely loves basket ball.  He says BALL all day long until we take him outside to the basket ball court where he says ball and runs after the ball.  Then we come in and immediately he says ball? ball? ball? He is going to be a basket ball player I can already see it.

Ryan is in very good standing at his job at the Adolphus.  He was late for the second time in a year and everyone was giving him a hard time because he is never late.  Although his co-workers are late quite often.  He has admirably set the bar too high.  He is prayerful considering going to night school 1-3 nights per week.  This would make it possible for both of us to go to school and for him to still work.

With much love I send this news.

    God Bless all of you,

    Ryan, Katrina, and Kyle Fogler

  • Merry Christmas

    Merry Christmas,

We had a very fun and amazing Christmas.  We drove down to Houston.  Kyle was very good and slept most of the way.  We we arrived we were greeted with warmth and love.  Kyle showed off and walked around the living room.  Christmas eve was fun we went to a Christmas eve service at Ryans parents Church.  We celebrated Jesus birth but more so Jesus life and death and resurrection.  We took communion and prayed for a new start and dedication to Jesus.  This was a nice ceremony.  We came back to Ryans parents house and had a fun night of a game called dice, Ryan won.  Christmas morning we woke to a pancake breakfast and opened our stockings.  Then Ryan and Kenneth (Ryans brother) went to pick up their Grandmas, Grandma and Mamaw.  They are both very sweet ladies.  We had a fun morning together we opened our gifts and then had a hamburger lunch.  It was very fun and enjoyable.  Later we took the grandma's home so they could nap and Kyle napped too.  The trip home the next day was hard but we left at 3 and got home by 8:30.  Kyle didn't do as well this time as he did on the way there.  This time he slept half way and then started to get really upset.  So I instituted a family tradition thank my family did on road trips.  We would sing silly songs.  So I started singing every silly song I could remember.  In no time Kyle was belly laughing.  It was fun to see a tradition continued on.

Ryan and I got way to many gifts to describe in detail but we enjoy the trip very much and are very happy we were able to make it.

    God Bless every one.

    Love,

    Ryan, Katrina, & Kyle Fogler
